The English primer league is the most watched and followed league in the world. The competition for the top spot in England is battle of nerves. There are Five teams that are said to be contenders of PL this season.
1- Chealsea

Chelsea has a strong squad this season. With addition of Diego Costa (top scorer) for Atl. Madrid last season has join Chelsea. There are number of new arrivals with likes of Cesc Febregas, Flippe Luiz, Matic certainly chesea look threatning. They are well balance this season.

They do have super stars like Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Perise in the team. If the combination of players clicked they will destroy the defence of every team.

The most shocking move this summer is Danny Welbeck to Arsenal from Manchester United. Having played for United for last three season Danny Welbeck 23, only managed 29 goals in EPL. With the arrival of Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao the Former United Ace career ended at theatre of dreams. Most of the matches he played for united, he played out of position. He might be a bright singing for Arsenal as Oliver Giroud is out injured for two months at least. Danny Welbeck with be better cover up for Giroud Instead of Snogo who failed to mark his impression in PL.

Tomas Rosicky wants to stay with Arsenal for another year

Rosicky, the Czech Republic captain and Arsenal midfielder enters in the last year of his contract. He wants to stay with arsenal and didn’t expect to move to his former club Sparta Prague in this summer transfer window.  He told press that, “After meeting Arsenal hierarchy I decided to stay with Arsenal for another year.”

He added” Move to former club Sparta Prague is not in his mind as he will be playing his traits in Arsenal shirt for one more year. “I feel comfortable, valuable and happy at this club.” Rosicky added.

Arsenal finished in top four of EPL (English Premier League) despite having superb start of the season. When we look back at results at start of previous season, fourth position in league is satisfactory. We all want to finish above fourth but if you look at our squad, each year our star players left this club and new players come in to support us. If nobody leaves this summer and some talented players come in squad, you never know it can improve our league position in upcoming season. Now with addition of danny Welbeck, Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Dubechay and Chamber Arsenal looking far more attractive.

With new season near to kickoff, the clubs set their sights on potential transfer targets to strengthen their squads for upcoming season.  

Manchester United has gone silent after impressive start to their transfer activity by grabbing Spanish Maestro Andre Herrera and talented Luke Shaw for combined fee of 58 million. The new boss Louis Van Gaal has hinted to bring few more fresh faces to the club with likes to Daely Blind, Juventus star Vidal and Di Maria from Real Madrid are heavily linked to a move to red devils.  

Arsenal Captain Thomas Vermaelen has joined Spanish giants FC Barcelona for a fee around 15m Euros. Luis Enrique is set to strengthen the defense as for the first time in six years Club has gone trophy less last year.  Meanwhile Barcelona added Jeremy Mathieu from Valencia to their squad.

Juventus is ready to bid for Manchester United hitman Javier Hernandez. Patrice Evra has joined Juve from Manchester United few weeks ago could play key role to convince Hernandez to make move to Italy. There are reports in media that Jack Wilshere is top of the list for Juventus to replace Arturo Vidal at center of midfield.

Bayern Munich has singed Liverpool outcast keeper Pepe Raina on three year deal cost 2.5 million. Reina will be deputy to world cup winner Manuel Neuer at the club. Moreover Robert Lewandowski addition to Bayern squad is major boost for the club to aim Champions league medal this year.  

Pakistan Super League in trouble once again

There are many professional cricket leagues played around in different countries. Especially England and Australian leagues are very much popular from the past. Many great players have improved their skills playing these leagues. Now after seeing the popularity of T twenty formats there is a new trend to have T twenty leagues, India started it first with the name of Indian Premier League (IPL). This is a commercial project that goes very successful for players, owners and the board. After India Srilanka, and Bangladesh have also launched their leagues. They are not as successful as IPL.

This follows by Pakistan as they announce to have Pakistan Super League (PSL). As there is no country currently coming to Pakistan for playing so the board wanted to attract the players for hefty money offers. The overall value of the PSL is estimated over $100 million.

Players who wanted to participate are divided into five categories. The players are selected according to the skills and their face value. Following is the income plan for each category player.

So these Salaries are very much attractive for the players and many are supposed to come to Pakistan for playing this Inaugural event.

On the other hand Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA) has warned the International players from participating in the event because of the security issues in Pakistan. So this may affect the league. But Haroon Lorgat who is appointed as an advisor for PSL thinks that this warning will not be a serious issue as many players and sponsors are ready to come.

This league is supposed to start on 26^th of March and will continue till 7^th of April and there will be 5 teams who play against each other first of Round-robin basis and then on knockout basis. But this is now postponed for indefinite period again for various reasons. In the mean time PSL got another setback as its managing director Salman Sarwar Butt, has resigned from his post. 

BIOGRAPHY: JP DUMINY

Jean-Paul-Duminy was born on 14^th April 1984 in Strandfontein, Cape Town, South Africa. He is 27 years old South African All-rounder. He is often named as JP Duminy. His nick name is JP Koppe. He is the left handed middle order batsman and an off spin bowler. He has represented South Africa in all three formats of cricket at international level. He represents his home team Cape Cobras at domestic level.

Duminy has proved himself to be a successful batsman and a useful change bowler by his skills and performances in international cricket. He generally occupies the top order. He is a skilled fielder too. He is also the out come of under-19 cricket. He was became known during South Africa's tour to England in 2003. His all-round performance in that series made his prominent for the selection in the international team.

Duminy made his ODI debut on 20^th August 2004 at R. Premadasa Stadium Colombo against Sri Lanka. Although his performance on debut was very poor but later he did very well and has scored 2289 runs in 81 matches with the average of 40.87. He has taken 22 wkts and 12 catches. Later Duminy made his T20 debut during the ICC Twenty20 world cup 2007 against Bangladesh on 12^th March at Newlands, Cape Town. He has played 32 T20s in which he has scored 715 runs with the average of 31. His best score in T20s is 96*.

Duminy waited a long for the test cricket and made his debut on December 17, 2008 at Perth against Australia. He scored unbeaten 50 runs in the second innings of the match which contribute in the victory against Australia. He has played 12 tests in which he has scored 518 runs with the average of 28.

He has an impressive domestic record in T20s. He plays for Cape Cobras and has played the 1^st and 3^rd Champions League with the Cape Cobras. He played in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians in the 2^nd and 3^rd edition and played for Deccan Chargers in the 4rth edition.

He is one of the very finest all-rounder in the ODIs and T20s.

BIOGRAPHY: SHAUN EDWARDS MARSH

Shaun Edward Marsh was born on 9^th July 1983 in Narrogine, Western Australia, Australia. He is the son of the legendary Aussie cricketer Geoff Marsh. He is a left-handed batsman and has represented the Australian cricket in all the three formats of the international cricket.

He is also known as the production of the under 19 cricket program of ICC. He represented the Aussie under-19 cricket team and was the leading run scorer in the world cup tournament held in New Zealand in 2001-02. He made his first class debut in 2001 against South Australia representing Western Australia.

Owing to the good form in the tournament in Australia he was selected in the 15 man squad of Kings XI Punjab in IPL season 2008. Although he missed the first four games if the tournament but still he was the leading scorer and was awarded the orange cap. Shaun Marsh was chosen in the inaugural IPL dream team chosen by the cricketing website Cricinfo along with cricket superstars such as Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne.

Owing to his outstanding performance he got the chance in his national team and made his T20 debut at 20^th June 2008 against West Indies at Bridgetown. He made his ODI debut on 28^th October 2008 against South Africa at Kings Mead Durban. He has scored 1274 runs in 36 ODI's and 108 runs in 7 T20s.

After a long wait of 3 years Shaun Marsh made his test debut on 16^th September 2011 against Sri Lanka and smashed the century on his debut. He became the 19^th player to score the century at the debut match. He has proved by his performances that he can play best when given the chance.

Shaun's younger brother Mitchell is also predicted to follow in his brother and father's footsteps.

BIOGRAPHY: ABDUR RAZZAQ

Abdur Razzaq was born on 2^nd December 1979 in Lahore in province Punjab, Pakistan. He is one of the best all-rounder of the world in the field of cricket and he is the proud of Pakistan. He made his debut in international cricket in 1996 against Zimbabwe at Karachi. He waits for three years to play the test cricket in 1999 against Aussies at Brisbane.

Razzaq has played 46 test matches and 227 ODI matches and scored 1946 and 5074 runs. He has grabbed 100 wickets in the tests and 248 in one day internationals. He also played 26 T20 internationals in which he made 346 runs and took 18 wickets.

He has an exceptional first-class record. He has represented the domestic teams such as Lahore Lions (Pakistan), Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire (England). He has represented the Asian XI team in the World Cricket Tsunami Appeal charity match at Melbourne Cricket ground in 2005.

He is known as the youngest player to take the test hat-trick. He get his first and final five wicket haul in test match at Karachi against India.  His best test bowling figures is 5/35 and in ODI's is 6/35. His valuable performance at T20 world cup give Pakistan victory over Sri Lanka in the final and Pakistan won the world cup. He made smashing century at Abu Dhabi in 2010 series against South Africa in the second ODI. In that ODI Pakistan grab victory over SA.               

Recent performances of Razzaq had created the problems to the world of cricket as he has proven himself to be the dangerous all-rounder in the world.

Shahid Afridi as a Captain in Sri Lanka's T20 Premier League

Shahid Afridi is announced as captain for one of seven teams in Sri Lanka's T20 Premier League. The league will start from 15th July and will last for 18 days. Pakistan's nearly all players will be seen in action. Chaminda Vass, Daniel Vettori, Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardane, Kumar Sangakkara and Dilshan are other captains

Tour West Indies Schedule (Squad Announcement delayed)

After the World cup 2011, now the next test for Pakistani tigers is the West Indies tour. In this tour there will be five ODI's, one T20 and two tests. The first match of this tour will be on 21st of April 2011. The squad for this tour was to be introduced on 5th of April 2011 but it got delayed due to several reasons. It is said that the team was finalized but due to conflict between the chief selector and PCB members it has become difficult for the PCB officials to announce the team. The major conflict is about the inclusion of new keeper. Pakistani skipper has commented that all senior players including Kamran Akmal should be rested and young players should be given chances. Now instead of Kamran Akmal there are three to four substitutes including Sarfaraz,  Sadaf and some others. There is also a controversy on the selection of Imran Farhat. So many of the things are yet undisclosed.

Aussies under leadership of Michel Clark

Australia the defending champion of World cup after loosing against Pakistan and India in World cup 2011 and failing to defend the title is now ready to fight against Banglo tigers under the captaincy of Michel Clark. Today on 5th of April Aussies unit have landed in Dhaka to play one day series. After Ricky Pointing now it will be first test for Michel Clark to lead like leaders. Although the team will be under pressure as it has lost the World cup and was out from  the tournament in quarter finals but still Aussies have strong aptitude and skill to fight against most powerful teams and to recover soon. This series is constituted of three matches and Ricky Pointing the former captain is also part of this team and will be playing under the captaincy of Clark and is willing to put the team on track of victories again with the help of whole team. The first match in this series will be played on 9th of April, the second match on 11th of April and the last match will be played on 13th of April. According to ICC new ranking of ODI Australia is still on top.

Sachin Tendulkar denies any retirement rumors

The Indian star batsman Sachin Tendurkar has no plans to retire. Today on Monday 4th April 2011 Sachin in New Delhi said that he has no such plans to retire. He also expressed his feelings about outgoing coach Gary Kirsten and said that the team will miss him. Tendurkar said, "Personally, I would say Gary (Kirsten) should continue but he has family commitments". I respect his decision. We will miss him a lot. It's been a pleasure to work with him. He's probably worked harder than anyone else. Geo News Reported.

Sachin Tendurkar has played six World cup tournaments since 1992 and it was the first win of him.  He also expressed that it was a great moment in his life but he is missing his father and wished that he could have shared his victory with his father.

"I miss my father. He would be proud. My kids being there for the victory lap made it even more special". His father died in the mid of 1999. 

Fake trophy awarded to Indian Captain

It has been reported that ICC has handed over a fake trophy to the Indian skipper. Why is this so? Why ICC has given a fake trophy? The ICC president Sharad Powar handed over the fake trophy to Mahindra Singh Dhooni only because to avoid tax of Rs 2.2 million.

The Indian media further reported that the original trophy is in the custody of the Mumbai customs and it would be sent back to Dubai today. The fake trophy awarded to the Indian team was having no ICC logo nor the name of the Champion. This all story has been reported by Indian Media. How long it is true and valid? It is still to decide.

India Won the World cup 2011.....!!!

At last in the final Match on 2nd of April 2011, India has defeated Sri Lanka to rule the world of cricket. Congrats to all Indian cricket fans and whole Indian nation. India has won the first world cup in 1983 then the T20 World cup in 2007 and now in 2011. This time has come for India after twenty eight years. The unique thing is this that in 1983 India won the 60 overs World cup, in 2007 20 over world cup and now in 2011 50 overs world cup. This was the first time that  two Asian teams had played the final game and both the teams were hosting the world cup. It is also the first time that a host country has won the World cup. Dhooni the Captain of India played a captain innings in this match.

Flashing on the match. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. The start by Sri Lanka was not good but at last they could score 274. India lost its first wicket without scoring any run and the man to go was Sehwag, then Tendurkar got out on 32 but then good partnerships and Ghambir and Dhooni's brilliant innings took Indians  to the road of victory. CONGRATS INDIAN TEAM AND INDIAN NATION.

Who will win this world cup 2011????

The journey of World cup 2011 began on 19th February 2011. The opening ceremony took place at Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh. Fourteen teams started their trip with a dream of leading the world of cricket. ICC scheduled forty nine matches among these hopeful passengers and this world cup 2011 consists of four stages. These stages include the Group stage, quarter final stage, semi final stage and the finals. In group stage the batch of fourteen teams was divided into groups of seven each and thus two groups were constituted. In each group every team was supposed to face six of its rivals, so six matches for each team. Forty one matches were played in group stage which concluded that six passengers have to leave the journey. These unlucky teams were Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya, Ireland, Bangladesh and Netherlands. Then comes the quarter finals. Four matches between eight teams were played and the luck was decided. In this stage four teams were dropped which also include the former world cup champions (Australia). Four teams including Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka qualified for Semi finals. In semi final stage again two teams qualified and made their way towards final and the other two teams packed their luggage and traveled towards their home countries. India and Sri Lanka qualified for finals whereas New Zealand and Pakistan could not succeeded. Now the last match which will decide the ruling team of this world cup 2011 will be played on 2nd of April 2011 in Mumbai. Both the teams are strong and there will be a good contest. World cup 2011 Final (India Vs Sri Lanka on 2nd April)

Sri Lanka after defeating New Zealand and India after defeating Pakistan has qualified for the final. Tomorrow on 2nd of April there is going to be a big match among the two Asian cricket joints. Who will win? It is difficult to decide but by examining the previous performances of both teams in World cup games, it seems that India may have an edge on Sri Lanka. Manmohan singh (Indian Prime Minister) invitation to Pakistan's Prime Minister & President

On Friday 25^th March 2011 Manmohan Singh the Indian Prime Minister has invited Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and the President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to watch the semi-final game between Pakistan and India at Mohali at Punjab Cricket Association Ground. This is a start of positive move if it has been done with positive mind set. It can improve the relations between the two Governments and can also be an initiation of future dialogues on different controversial matters. Whatever the results will be of this match it is expected that this match which also is regarded as a Final before the World cup 2011 final may become a new hope for a new positive relationship foundation among the two nations.
