Ishant Sharma is an Indian cricketer who earned a nick name “Lambu” because of his height as 193cm (6 ft 4 inch). He delivered the second fastest bowl as an Indian bowler, and the speed was measured 152.6 km/h or 94.8 mph. He performed this record against Australia in 2008 at the stadium named Adelaide. The fastest delivery (154.5km/h) was performed by Javagal Srinath in the 1999 World Cup Tournament. Sharma can move the ball in the both directions.
Sharma started his first test match against Bangladesh in 2007 played at Shere Bangla National Stadium of Dhaka. In that match, he hunted 1 wicket giving 49 runs in both the innings. He began his ODI career in 2007, in a match against South Africa at the Civil Service Cricket Club of Belfast. But in that match, he got no wicket.
Ishant has played a total 28 test and 45 one-day matches in his career. He took 83 test wickets and 63 ODI wickets. He got five and four wickets 1 and 4 times in the test match respectively and four wickets 3 times in the ODI match.
