BIOGRAPHY: JP DUMINY

Jean-Paul-Duminy was born on 14^th April 1984 in Strandfontein, Cape Town, South Africa. He is 27 years old South African All-rounder. He is often named as JP Duminy. His nick name is JP Koppe. He is the left handed middle order batsman and an off spin bowler. He has represented South Africa in all three formats of cricket at international level. He represents his home team Cape Cobras at domestic level.

Duminy has proved himself to be a successful batsman and a useful change bowler by his skills and performances in international cricket. He generally occupies the top order. He is a skilled fielder too. He is also the out come of under-19 cricket. He was became known during South Africa's tour to England in 2003. His all-round performance in that series made his prominent for the selection in the international team.

Duminy made his ODI debut on 20^th August 2004 at R. Premadasa Stadium Colombo against Sri Lanka. Although his performance on debut was very poor but later he did very well and has scored 2289 runs in 81 matches with the average of 40.87. He has taken 22 wkts and 12 catches. Later Duminy made his T20 debut during the ICC Twenty20 world cup 2007 against Bangladesh on 12^th March at Newlands, Cape Town. He has played 32 T20s in which he has scored 715 runs with the average of 31. His best score in T20s is 96*.

Duminy waited a long for the test cricket and made his debut on December 17, 2008 at Perth against Australia. He scored unbeaten 50 runs in the second innings of the match which contribute in the victory against Australia. He has played 12 tests in which he has scored 518 runs with the average of 28.

He has an impressive domestic record in T20s. He plays for Cape Cobras and has played the 1^st and 3^rd Champions League with the Cape Cobras. He played in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians in the 2^nd and 3^rd edition and played for Deccan Chargers in the 4rth edition.

He is one of the very finest all-rounder in the ODIs and T20s.

BIOGRAPHY: SHAUN EDWARDS MARSH

Shaun Edward Marsh was born on 9^th July 1983 in Narrogine, Western Australia, Australia. He is the son of the legendary Aussie cricketer Geoff Marsh. He is a left-handed batsman and has represented the Australian cricket in all the three formats of the international cricket.

He is also known as the production of the under 19 cricket program of ICC. He represented the Aussie under-19 cricket team and was the leading run scorer in the world cup tournament held in New Zealand in 2001-02. He made his first class debut in 2001 against South Australia representing Western Australia.

Owing to the good form in the tournament in Australia he was selected in the 15 man squad of Kings XI Punjab in IPL season 2008. Although he missed the first four games if the tournament but still he was the leading scorer and was awarded the orange cap. Shaun Marsh was chosen in the inaugural IPL dream team chosen by the cricketing website Cricinfo along with cricket superstars such as Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne.

Owing to his outstanding performance he got the chance in his national team and made his T20 debut at 20^th June 2008 against West Indies at Bridgetown. He made his ODI debut on 28^th October 2008 against South Africa at Kings Mead Durban. He has scored 1274 runs in 36 ODI's and 108 runs in 7 T20s.

After a long wait of 3 years Shaun Marsh made his test debut on 16^th September 2011 against Sri Lanka and smashed the century on his debut. He became the 19^th player to score the century at the debut match. He has proved by his performances that he can play best when given the chance.

Shaun's younger brother Mitchell is also predicted to follow in his brother and father's footsteps.

BIOGRAPHY: ABDUR RAZZAQ

Abdur Razzaq was born on 2^nd December 1979 in Lahore in province Punjab, Pakistan. He is one of the best all-rounder of the world in the field of cricket and he is the proud of Pakistan. He made his debut in international cricket in 1996 against Zimbabwe at Karachi. He waits for three years to play the test cricket in 1999 against Aussies at Brisbane.

Razzaq has played 46 test matches and 227 ODI matches and scored 1946 and 5074 runs. He has grabbed 100 wickets in the tests and 248 in one day internationals. He also played 26 T20 internationals in which he made 346 runs and took 18 wickets.

He has an exceptional first-class record. He has represented the domestic teams such as Lahore Lions (Pakistan), Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire (England). He has represented the Asian XI team in the World Cricket Tsunami Appeal charity match at Melbourne Cricket ground in 2005.

He is known as the youngest player to take the test hat-trick. He get his first and final five wicket haul in test match at Karachi against India.  His best test bowling figures is 5/35 and in ODI's is 6/35. His valuable performance at T20 world cup give Pakistan victory over Sri Lanka in the final and Pakistan won the world cup. He made smashing century at Abu Dhabi in 2010 series against South Africa in the second ODI. In that ODI Pakistan grab victory over SA.               

Recent performances of Razzaq had created the problems to the world of cricket as he has proven himself to be the dangerous all-rounder in the world.

Shahid Afridi as a Captain in Sri Lanka's T20 Premier League

Shahid Afridi is announced as captain for one of seven teams in Sri Lanka's T20 Premier League. The league will start from 15th July and will last for 18 days. Pakistan's nearly all players will be seen in action. Chaminda Vass, Daniel Vettori, Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardane, Kumar Sangakkara and Dilshan are other captains

Tour West Indies Schedule (Squad Announcement delayed)

After the World cup 2011, now the next test for Pakistani tigers is the West Indies tour. In this tour there will be five ODI's, one T20 and two tests. The first match of this tour will be on 21st of April 2011. The squad for this tour was to be introduced on 5th of April 2011 but it got delayed due to several reasons. It is said that the team was finalized but due to conflict between the chief selector and PCB members it has become difficult for the PCB officials to announce the team. The major conflict is about the inclusion of new keeper. Pakistani skipper has commented that all senior players including Kamran Akmal should be rested and young players should be given chances. Now instead of Kamran Akmal there are three to four substitutes including Sarfaraz,  Sadaf and some others. There is also a controversy on the selection of Imran Farhat. So many of the things are yet undisclosed.

Aussies under leadership of Michel Clark

Australia the defending champion of World cup after loosing against Pakistan and India in World cup 2011 and failing to defend the title is now ready to fight against Banglo tigers under the captaincy of Michel Clark. Today on 5th of April Aussies unit have landed in Dhaka to play one day series. After Ricky Pointing now it will be first test for Michel Clark to lead like leaders. Although the team will be under pressure as it has lost the World cup and was out from  the tournament in quarter finals but still Aussies have strong aptitude and skill to fight against most powerful teams and to recover soon. This series is constituted of three matches and Ricky Pointing the former captain is also part of this team and will be playing under the captaincy of Clark and is willing to put the team on track of victories again with the help of whole team. The first match in this series will be played on 9th of April, the second match on 11th of April and the last match will be played on 13th of April. According to ICC new ranking of ODI Australia is still on top.

Sachin Tendulkar denies any retirement rumors

The Indian star batsman Sachin Tendurkar has no plans to retire. Today on Monday 4th April 2011 Sachin in New Delhi said that he has no such plans to retire. He also expressed his feelings about outgoing coach Gary Kirsten and said that the team will miss him. Tendurkar said, "Personally, I would say Gary (Kirsten) should continue but he has family commitments". I respect his decision. We will miss him a lot. It's been a pleasure to work with him. He's probably worked harder than anyone else. Geo News Reported.

Sachin Tendurkar has played six World cup tournaments since 1992 and it was the first win of him.  He also expressed that it was a great moment in his life but he is missing his father and wished that he could have shared his victory with his father.

"I miss my father. He would be proud. My kids being there for the victory lap made it even more special". His father died in the mid of 1999. 

Fake trophy awarded to Indian Captain

It has been reported that ICC has handed over a fake trophy to the Indian skipper. Why is this so? Why ICC has given a fake trophy? The ICC president Sharad Powar handed over the fake trophy to Mahindra Singh Dhooni only because to avoid tax of Rs 2.2 million.

The Indian media further reported that the original trophy is in the custody of the Mumbai customs and it would be sent back to Dubai today. The fake trophy awarded to the Indian team was having no ICC logo nor the name of the Champion. This all story has been reported by Indian Media. How long it is true and valid? It is still to decide.

India Won the World cup 2011.....!!!

At last in the final Match on 2nd of April 2011, India has defeated Sri Lanka to rule the world of cricket. Congrats to all Indian cricket fans and whole Indian nation. India has won the first world cup in 1983 then the T20 World cup in 2007 and now in 2011. This time has come for India after twenty eight years. The unique thing is this that in 1983 India won the 60 overs World cup, in 2007 20 over world cup and now in 2011 50 overs world cup. This was the first time that  two Asian teams had played the final game and both the teams were hosting the world cup. It is also the first time that a host country has won the World cup. Dhooni the Captain of India played a captain innings in this match.

Flashing on the match. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. The start by Sri Lanka was not good but at last they could score 274. India lost its first wicket without scoring any run and the man to go was Sehwag, then Tendurkar got out on 32 but then good partnerships and Ghambir and Dhooni's brilliant innings took Indians  to the road of victory. Who will win this world cup 2011????

The journey of World cup 2011 began on 19th February 2011. The opening ceremony took place at Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh. Fourteen teams started their trip with a dream of leading the world of cricket. ICC scheduled forty nine matches among these hopeful passengers and this world cup 2011 consists of four stages. These stages include the Group stage, quarter final stage, semi final stage and the finals. In group stage the batch of fourteen teams was divided into groups of seven each and thus two groups were constituted. In each group every team was supposed to face six of its rivals, so six matches for each team. Forty one matches were played in group stage which concluded that six passengers have to leave the journey. These unlucky teams were Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya, Ireland, Bangladesh and Netherlands. Then comes the quarter finals. Four matches between eight teams were played and the luck was decided. In this stage four teams were dropped which also include the former world cup champions (Australia). Four teams including Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka qualified for Semi finals. In semi final stage again two teams qualified and made their way towards final and the other two teams packed their luggage and traveled towards their home countries. India and Sri Lanka qualified for finals whereas New Zealand and Pakistan could not succeeded. Now the last match which will decide the ruling team of this world cup 2011 will be played on 2nd of April 2011 in Mumbai. Both the teams are strong and there will be a good contest. World cup 2011 Final (India Vs Sri Lanka on 2nd April)

Sri Lanka after defeating New Zealand and India after defeating Pakistan has qualified for the final. Tomorrow on 2nd of April there is going to be a big match among the two Asian cricket joints. Manmohan singh (Indian Prime Minister) invitation to Pakistan's Prime Minister & President

On Friday 25^th March 2011 Manmohan Singh the Indian Prime Minister has invited Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and the President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to watch the semi-final game between Pakistan and India at Mohali at Punjab Cricket Association Ground. This is a start of positive move if it has been done with positive mind set. It can improve the relations between the two Governments and can also be an initiation of future dialogues on different controversial matters. Whatever the results will be of this match it is expected that this match which also is regarded as a Final before the World cup 2011 final may become a new hope for a new positive relationship foundation among the two nations.

New Zealand has beaten South Africa in 3rd Quarter Final.......!!

After winning the toss New Zealand choose to bat first and set a target of 222 runs for South Africa. By viewing South African batting lineup it wasn't seeming quite a tough total but great bowling performance by Kiwis. South Africa got bowled on 172 runs. What an upset? But if we see prior four world cups, South Africa could not qualify the knock out stage. New Zealand Vs South AFrica (Third Quarter Final)

The third quarter final will be played on 25th of  March 2011. New Zealand will play this game against much stronger team South Africa. If you think of a thrill then yes this game can be thrilling because although New Zealand players are not playing well but they have really out classed Pakistan in group stage matches. Pakistan won the first quarter final against West Indies on 23rd March 2011

Pakistan has out classed West Indies in Quarter final game. West Indies after winning the toss decided to bat first but could not stay on the wicket for very long against Pakistani bowlers. West Indies got all out on 112 in  43.3 overs. Shahid Afridi Captain of Pakistani team was leading wicket taker with four wickets in his 9.3 overs spell for thirty runs. Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal got two each and Umer Gul and Abdul Razzaq got one each. Pakistan started well in batting and showed aggression.  Hafeez played a brilliant innings of 61 runs and Kamran Akmal made 47. Pakistan won by ten wickets and qualified for Semi Final.

In group matches Pakistan only lost against New Zealand and hence topped the group stage. But there are certain confusions prevailing which include the team combination. It has become difficult to decide for the management to either continue with this winning combination or include Saeed Ajmal as a spinner.   If they add Ajmal in place of a pacer then there will be only one pacer in the team and if they drop a batsman then they will lack batting combination and as Pakistani batting is ambiguous after fifth man then they would not like to do so. I think they should go with the same combination but the decision is till to come and you may find it before the start of match tomorrow. This time ICC has changed the format of world cup and instead of super Eight the second stage after group matches has been called as Quarter Finals. There were fourteen teams playing for the title in group stage matches. These teams were divided into two groups of seven each. Group A is comprised of Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Sril Lanka, Kenya, Canada and Zimbabwe. While Group B is comprised of India, West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands and England. Now after Group matches the position of Group A is clear as it has not been affected by any upset, the menos including Kenya, Canada and Zimbabwe are out from the group stage. Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand has qualified for the world cup. Below is the points table.

While the picture of Group B has not yet been clear as it has been affected by unexpected mishaps as the match between India and England got tie, Ireland beaten England, Bangladesh beaten England but then England beaten West Indies to survive. Four teams including India, West Indies, England and South Africa has qualified for the Quarter Finals but their positions in Group are still unclear and depends on today's match between India and West Indies.

Today it was a great game between Pakistan and Australia. Many were expecting that Pakistan as an unpredictable team can break Australia's winning streak and Team Pakistan has proved this thing that they are not weak anymore. They have decided to take the World Cup away. It was May 1999 when Pakistan beaten Australia in Group matches and since then it had become difficult for any team to beat Australia. Before today Australia remained unbeaten for thirty four matches but Pakistan has broken their winning streak. How this all happened? It was all because of team spirit, positive attitude, unity and prayers by Pakistani fans. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first, at that time many people thought that Pakistan may loose this match as Pakistani team is not well known for chasing and also on this ground in Colombo it is very difficult to chase in second innings as we all seen in Pakistan Vs Sri Lanka. But it was all due to Pakistan's superb bowling attack which restricted Aussies to low score. Umer Gul was the opening bowler and he did a convincing job by taking wicket of SR Watson and then no one could stop Pakistan's inspiring bowling. Umer Gul got three wickets with an economy rate of  3.91, Razzaq done good job and got two wickets with an economy rate of 2, other bowlers including Afridi succeeded to take one wicket each but with good economy rates except Wahab Riaz whose economy rate remained above six. Australia got all out on 176 in 46.4 overs, setting the target for Pakistan of 177 in fifty overs game.

Australia started good with their bowling attack as Hafeez got out at fourth ball of third over by B Lee. Then Kamran Akmal and Asad Shafiq played a good knock up-till 45 runs when Kamran Akmal got lbw at fourth ball of ninth over  again by B Lee. Again Younas Khan the experienced player and prior captain of Pakistani team built up good partnership with Asad Shafique and squeezed the score to 98 till    

22.4 overs and got out by B Lee. So B Lee bowled efficiently and succeeded to take four wickets with an economy rate of 3.5. Then after Asad Shafique unfortunately could not complete his half century and got out but Umer Akmal played very well till the end and made a comprehensive victory for PAKISTAN. Razzaq finished Pakistani innings with a superb four at end. Umer Akmal has been announced as man of the match.

Pakistan may not win World cup 2011

Although my prayers along with whole nation are with my Pakistani team but In 2007 World Cup Cricket, I had written a letter to all leading Newspapers of Pakistan that Pakistan could not won the world cup and my this forecast became true.

Now I am again forecasting that our Pakistani Cricket Team may Not win the world cup 2011. Please wait for the time to come.But why I am saying this, the reasons are as following

1)- It is not a perfect cricket team.

2)- All players only except new players are not most sincere and patriotic because they are most greedy to earn more and more money from 1) by taking money from gambler bookies 2) they are not paying full concentration during game in the field. 3)- they are acting in the ground by setting their long hair after every ball in order to advertising the shampoo products of a the cosmetics companies by receiving million of rupees from such companies.

3)- That in spite of availing the many nos of facilities from the govt of Pakistan ie attractive pay from services,free hotels .prizes, earning money from advertisement companies, they are not obeying the discipline rules of conducts and they are speaking against Pakistan in the press conferences and defaming the position of Pakistan.

4)- they are playing in the indian league without the permission of Cricket Board of Pakistan and so many others factors

5)- these players are so proudest ( MAGHROOR) that they forget that there exist thousand Nos of good cricketers in Pakistan who are playing most best than the players of Pakistan cricket team.

In views of the abovementioned facts, I will advise to prime minister of Pakistan that Hanif Muhammad , Mushtaq Ahmed ,Saeed Anwar, or Javed Miandad should be posted the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board and Selection Committee and New players should be given a chance to

play cricket for the Pakistan because good players can show good performance and can highlight the good name of Pakistan.I hope , the new chairman will be posted for the promoting the cricket in Pakistan by forming a good cricket team for Pakistan

World cup 2011 began on 19^th February with a first match between INDIA and BANGLADESH, the two hosting countries. Although both the teams are having enough international cricket exposure but still there was a big mismatch according to their previous performances. Both the nations may have enjoyed the first blast as after a big score by India, Bangladesh replied strongly but at the end could not make it a victory. After that till now approximately thirty one matches have been played but the matches which really provided entertainment were only five to seven. These include Pakistan’s Vs Sri Lanka, New Zealand Vs Pakistan, England Vs India, Ireland Vs England, Bangladesh Vs England, South Africa Vs England and India Vs South Africa. These all matches were having real suspense. No one was able to predict strongly who’s gonna win. This is also called as a see-saw situation. Especially in the last match between Bangladesh and England it was really hard to decide the winner before the last ball (this thing was also said by Bangali Captain). At last Bangladesh made a strong victory which caused anxiety in Group B. Same was the case with the England and Ireland match. But the key thing to ponder is England’s performance. England was thought to be the favorite but it is performing down to the earth. No one could believe such a bad and disappointing performance from such a great team. Even though England has still fair chances to be in Quarter final but it has to prove that it can perform as good as it performed in T20 World cup 2010.

Existence of menos in world cup!!!!

Menos is actually a Spanish word and it means literally so-so or you can say not well equipped. Why this word has been used there? It has been used just because of some confusion. You must be enjoying the world cup 2011. Are you? Surely your reply will be yes. But when it comes to matches you may be bored because of some matches as the results are almost obvious and predictable. Yes here I want to talk about matches of stronger teams with weak teams. Till now twenty five matches have been played and among these matches five to ten were really enjoyable which were played between equal ranked teams. Other matches were almost concluded before the match started except one in which Ireland succeeded to do an upset and beaten England.

There are fourteen teams in this world cup. Seven teams in each group. If we see Group A we can have two segments one of New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia and other constituted of Kenya, Zimbabwe and Canada. How these two segments have been identified? The first segment which is composed of four teams presents top international teams and the other segment is comprised of weaker teams which have not been much exposed to cricket internationally. Same is the case with group B but still it shows little bit tension and good competition after Ireland has done one upset besides a tie between India and England.

ICC is thinking to exclude these menos in next World cup but I think that it may not be a right decision. The best decision which ICC can make is to give more exposure to these teams and make them competitive as others. It will boost their confidence and cricket fans will have more entertainment. Sense of inspiration!!!!!

What does it mean? Today, I was watching an ad of Lipton tea in which Ali Zafar (Pakistani singer) said, “Lipton tea my sense of inspiration”. Have you seen that ad? Yes or no whatever but have you ever deeply thought on these words? Is it only an ad or it’s a strong message? Yes it is a message for those who believe that they can change their life through hard work. If you ever ask this question to any successful person then you will definitely hear many positive views in response. Some will narrate stories about events, personalities or some may talk about little creature‘s actions which they observed and that inspired them. In this regard you may have heard about the story of ant or it may be was spider who tried hard to climb a wall again and again for a long time but succeeded after making so many attempts. This thing inspired a defeated king or if I am not wrong a warrior head, who then made his attempts again and again which led him to success at the end. So what he learnt was that failure is not a name of disappointment but it opens many new doors for you but you must recognize your path to follow and do hard to reach your destination.

Sense of inspiration is anticipation of desire, motivation to be like that, to show your abilities, to achieve success live your idol, adapt specific skills and habits and achieve success.

If we talk about cricket and a life of a cricketer, what you can imagine. Many of us imagine that they are living luxurious lives and all that other stuff. But have you ever thought how they have reached at this point and what problems they still have to face? No we haven’t. Many of them belong to poor families by birth but all of them on one time or another met someone who inspired them and anticipated a passion to reach at the top. What became sense of inspiration for them is hard to define because everyone has different frame of mind and thoughts. But the big thing is to recognize your inbuilt talent. Only inspiration cannot take you to the boom, if you do not have capacity of doing something then you must do hard to learn or your must recognize what you have and how you should apply that power. Good luck! Be aware of your inner talent and search for an inspiration.

Boom Boom Afridi takes 5 wickets

The Pakistan cricket team skipper Shahid Khan Afridi boomed the team in first match and took 5 wickets. He bowled really well, Afridi bowled 8 overs which inc3 maiden overs. The bowling figures are shown below:

It landed on a length just outside off and skidded in. The batsman left it alone. Mistake. Clatter! 112/10

But Afridi had held this one back and Tikolo was through early with the shot. The ball slid through the bat and pad gap and fell on the stumps. Afridi's index finger shoots up towards the sky. The Kenyan legend walks back to the hut. 73/3 26.3 to Mishra, 102.4 kph, Pakistan go for the UDRS Lbw turned down. It landed on a length on the off stump and skidded towards the leg stump. The batsman went back, played across the line and missed the slider. It would have hit the leg stump. The reversed verdict is OUT! 79/4 28.3 to Kamande, 90.0 kph, Afridi is on a song here. It landed on a good length around the middle stump line and straightened. The batsman missed it and it would have hit the middle stump. The captain walks back. He had a chat with his partner whether to go for the UDRS and they decide going against it. 87/6 30.5 to Odoyo, 97.3 kph, Googly! Wicket no 4. It broke back in from outside off, skidded past the forward prod and hit the pad in front of the off stump. Afridi - 4 for 16 101/7 32.1 to Obuya, 86.5 kph, Wicket no 5 for the captain! Obuya's entertaining knock is over. Afridi teased him with a flighted delivery and he couldn't resist going for the big hit but he couldn't clear long-on. 5 for 16! ooh la la! 112/8
