Biography-Ricky Ponting


Ricky Thomas Ponting, known as Punter, is the current cricket captain of Australia. He was born at Launceston of Tasmania in 1974. He started his test cricket career in 1995-1996 against Sri Lanka at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground of Perth. In that match, he scored 96 runs. His ODI (One-Day International) career began in 1994-1995 against South Africa at Wellington. He was unable to show his ability in that match. He lost his position in the team several times due to the lack of form and discipline, before his ODI captaincy in 2002 and test captaincy in 2004. After that in the year 2008, he became the second highest ranked batsman in ODI and third highest batsman in test according to the ICC ranking. His century in 1996 Cricket World Cup against W. Indies at Jaipur made him the youngest centurion in the World Cup Tournament. He also scored 140 runs in the 2003 World Cup Final against India. That score was the highest by a captain in any World Cup Final.
Ponting has played a total 148 test and 352 one-day matches in his career. His highest scores are 257 and 164 in the test and one-day matches respectively. He has 39 test centuries and 29 one-day centuries. In test, his total run is 12250. For one-day, it is 13082. His overall batting average is 54.68 in test, and 42.75 in one-day. He also played 22 Tewnty20 matches where his highest score is unbeaten 98 runs.

Biography-Pragyan Ojha


Pragyan Prayish Ojha is an Indian cricketer and a left-arm spinner who was born in 1986 at Khurda of Orissa. He represented himself to India in the under-19 level. He played in the 2006-2007 Ranji Trophy taking 29 wickets from only 6 matches. In IPL (Indian Premier League), he plays for Hyderabad Decan Chargers.
Ojha started his first test match against Sri Lanka in 2009-2010 played at Green Park of Kanpur. In that match, he hunted 4 wickets giving 73 runs in both the innings. He began his ODI career in 2008 in a match against Bangladesh at the National Stadium of Karachi. In that match, he got 2 wickets giving 43 runs.
Pragyan Ojha has played a total 11 test and 16 one-day matches in his career. He took 42 test wickets and 20 ODI wickets. He got four wickets 2 times in test match and 1 time in the ODI match.
