Australia announce final 15 men squad for cricket World Cup 2011

Australia has named their final squad for the cricket World Cup happening in the subcontinent. There are a couple of surprises waiting for the players as well as the spectators. Peter Siddle and Xavier Doherty while both had proved themselves tough contenders for the spot in the final 15 but have been left out of the squad of the cricket World Cup.

While Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey both the top Aussie players who are to be playing are currently suffering from injuries which could be a cause of worry for them. Australia won’t be risking their players injury during the cricket World Cup neither can they afford any more injuries to their current squad. Australia also have named the pace combo Lee and Tait in the squad which may be an element of doubt as Tait hasn’t been in top of his form for a couple of months and will also be returning from injuries. That now makes that their squad is facing injury issues while some facing form issues and some are still recovering from their injuries.

Australia though have lost their top position in the tests to India long back but they still are way ahead of any other team in the limited overs cricket. The rest of the squad is placed as expected. Australia still remains the top contenders but they will still have to watch out to keep their players safe from injuries. This cricket World Cup is having lot of hype about let’s hope it proves to be that exciting and thrilling.

Australia squad Shane Watson, Brad Haddin (wk), Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, David Hussey, Cameron White, Tim Paine (wk), Steven Smith, John Hastings, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz, Brett Lee, Shaun Tait, Doug Bollinger.
