Biography: Jacques Kallis

Jacques Henry Kallis, the playing South African legendary all-rounder was born on 16th October 1975. He also holds the record of second highest number of centuries in test cricket next only to Sachin Tendulkar. He also holds many more records to count. He is one of the finest all-rounders of all time.

Kallis went to Wynberg Boys High School for his early schooling and also started playing cricket at his school. He made his first class debut in 1993/94 and played for the Western Province. Later on he soon made his debut at the international level of cricket in Test cricket in December 1995 against England, soon he made his first appearance in the ODI on 9th January 1996 against England.

Kallis has been a major part of the South African cricket squad since his debut. Kallis has evolved a lot to reach a prestigious level in international cricket. Kallis holds countless number of records in the international cricket considering his batting and bowling. He also holds a record for scoring 4 centuries in 4 consecutive tests, there are only four men who have achieved such feat.

Jacques Kallis is also the part of the ICC cricket World Cup 2011 which will be in the subcontinent and 
South Africa has all their hopes from this legendary player to help them lift the World Cup trophy and change the history. Kallis had recently scored his one and only double ton against India. Kallis has been in a solid form from the past couple of months.
