Glenn Donald McGrath, nicknamed Pigeon, was a former Australian cricket player. He was born in 1970 at Dubbo of New South Wales. He was one of the highly regarded fast-medium pace bowlers in the history of cricket. He currently holds the world record for getting the highest number of wickets in the test as a fast bowler.
McGrath started his first test match against New Zealand in 1993 played at Western Australia Cricket Association Ground of Perth. In that match, he hunted 2 wickets in the first innings and 1 wicket in the second innings. He began his ODI career in 1993 in a match against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In that match, he bowled 8.4 overs giving 28 runs, but achieved no wicket.
McGrath has played a total 124 test and 250 one-day matches in his career. He hunted ten wickets 3 times in the test match. He obtained five wickets 29 times in the test career and 7 times in the ODI career. Again he got four wickets 28 and 9 times in the test and ODI career respectively. He hunted total 563 test wickets and 381 one day wickets.
