Biography-M.S.Dhoni


Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the present captain of the Indian cricket team, was born in 1981 at Ranchi. He was made the captain of India in the year of 2007. He is known as “Mahi” by the huge number of his fans. He has proved himself as the hard-hitting batsman and one of the best captains of India.
Dhoni made the debut in the national team of India in the year of 2004. In his 5th ODI match against Pakistan, he scored 148 run which was the highest run in one ODI match performed by any Indian wicket-keeper till then. He scored a large number of runs and grabbed at the ranking one in the ODI by ICC (International Cricket Council) in the year 2005-2006. He became the captain of India cricket team during the second T20 world cup played in September 2007. His team achieved the second world cup victory under his leadership beating Pakistan in the final match.

He has played a total 50 test and 172 one-day matches in his career. His highest scores are 148 and 183 in the test and one-day matches respectively. He has 4 test centuries and 7 one-day centuries. In test, his total run is 2648. For one-day, it is 5733. His overall batting average is 39.52 in test, and 50.28 in one-day. He also played 78 Tewnty20 matches where his highest score is unbeaten 73 runs.
