Spot-fixing Controversy

PCB revokes suspended trio's central contracts

The pak trio Salman Butt,Mohammad Amir,Mohammad Asif ,have brought Pakistan in the spotlight again but this time for the all the bad reasons.
They are being investigated for their involvement in spot-fixing during the tour of England in 2010.
Butt and Amir had made an appeal against their indefinite suspensions which had been rejected by the ICC last week.
According to the PCB legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi their contracts were suspended as none of the three players were not eligible to play for their country now and adding to his comments he also said that they only give contracts to players who can play for Pakistan. Until their cases are decided, they can't get any benefits from the board in terms of contracts.
The board was paying a handsome amount of money of around $2916 each month to each of them as they were the top grade players of their country and as of now as the board has revoked their contracts so they are no longer paying the trio their salaries.
Butt,Asif and Amir will be appearing before an anti-corruption tribunal hat will look into the actual charges and give a verdict on whether they are innocent or guilty.
Under the ICC code of conduct, will decide the fate of the players till 2nd December, wheather they will be proved innocent or the suspension will prevail.
Again and again Pakistan Cricketers are not getting into the limelight more about their game in the ground but are under threat because of their off-ground activities.
These allegations not only have spoiled the game but the spirit in which it should be played. Strict actions have been taken in these cases and the management is trying to take all these things in control so that no more such bad thing happens in near future.
