Bowlers and Openers keep India on the top

Indian bowlers had their day today as both Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh took all the remaining wickets on day 2. They took the visitors last seven wickets for just 97 runs ,except Jesse Ryder none other New Zealand batsmen was able to impress with the bat on the day as they were all rattled off by both the Indian senior bowlers.
India was already provided with the kind of start they wanted by their bowlers and to add more to the visitor’s misery Indian openers also started to blow off the steam as Virender Sehwag turned another nightmare for the bowlers and made a sizzling half century and just fell short of his century by four runs when he was bowled by Vettori as he tried to slog-sweep the delivery completely missing the ball as the ball went into his stumps. Gambhir along with Sehwag put up a  160 run stand together and Gambhir making his first half century in after 10 months. While Gambhir also lost his wicket in the very next over after Sehwag departed.
India were already on the right track till the time New Zealand bowlers got rid of both the well set openers, but that just added some hopes to the New Zealand dressing room in the end as the most destructive opening pair was back to the pavilion. New Zealand are again on back foot start from the start of the game even after putting a healthy total on the board.
